Refugee Basketball Academy was founded by Kulimushi Mutanda Stephane and a group of sports enthusiasts who wanted to share their passion with others. Our journey started with a small group of students, and we have since grown into a thriving community of athletes, coaches, and instructors.

The Problem We Address

Millions have talent. Few have access to real opportunities.

In refugee camps and host communities, structured sports programs are rare. Mentorship is limited. Platforms for youth development are almost nonexistent. Without guidance, youth become vulnerable to crime, school dropout, and hopelessness.

Lack of Access

Many young people spend 10 to 20 years waiting for resettlement, with no structured activities.

Limited Mentorship

Without positive role models, youth lack guidance and support to reach their full potential.
